Why did your hotel/theatre/sightseeing/airport transfer confirmation take so long to reach me?
Some Hotmail/Yahoo mail users may experience a slight delay in receiving their e-mail confirmations due to the e-mail filtering system Internet mail systems employ. We are not aware of any other e-mail providers who are experiencing the same delivery delays.
 

Why aren't there more hotels on your site - other web sites have hundreds?
oldh.net only deal with hotels in the UK providing discounted rates.  We do not sell hotels at rack rates.  Most other Internet sites do.  We can get the best deals for our customers by providing volume business to a smaller number of hotels.
 

Is the price per person per night?
No, the price you pay is the price per room.  We are constantly being asked this same question on the telephone, due to some of our rates being so low.  Examples  in a Triple room three adults can share for the one price shown. A twin or a Double room two adults share for the one price shown.

Can I leave my bags at the hotel?
you can leave your luggage with reception until your room is ready. Some hotels will also store your luggage for a time up to several days . The hotels may levy a small charge for this.
 

Can I check in earlier than check in time?
Subject to availability on the day of arrival, all depends on how many rooms are taken from the night before
 

Can I check out later than check out time?
Most hotels allow this, subject to availability, and usually without charge until midday lunchtime. However, most will charge extra for this should this extend past midday on check out day.
 

How do I book if I don't want to input my details over the internet?
By telephone. However, Online Discount runs the latest Geotrust 128 bit encryption secure software to ensure that your details are kept safe when they are sent to us.
 

Why do you require credit card details if you are not going to charge it?
Your credit or debit card details are required by us before a reservation can be made at a hotel.  All UK hotels require this information OLDH Do Not Charge Credit or Debit  Cards.  Your credit/debit card information is used by us merely to secure your booking.  You pay for your hotel stay on arrival at your hotel as you normally would. Your credit/debit card will not be charged by the hotels before your stay, unless you fail to arrive at the hotel, without cancelling your reservation first.  In this case the hotel is entitled to charge a non arrival fee, usually equivalent to the room rate for one night.
 

What is SSL Secure?
Our secure web pages are being hosted by (www.oneandone.co.uk), and we use a Geotrust SSL Certificate to ensure secure transmission of your information.  This web site is secured using a Geotrust Digital Certificate. This ensures that all information you send to us via the World Wide Web will be encrypted. Please click on the Geotrust Authentic Site Seal padlocks at the bottom of your web browser when they appear which will verify the validity of our Geotrust Certificate, and our commitment to your security.
 

Can I pay cash instead of with a credit card? Of course you can, when full payment for your stay is made at the hotel, however we still need valid credit or debit card detail to confirm a reservation at the hotel for you in advance - in this instance the card will never be charged.
 

What size beds are in a single/double/triple room?
We are often asked this question by American or Australian visitors to the UK.  Generally the single beds are 3ft wide, double beds in the UK are 4ft 6" wide. A triple room consists of either 3 single beds or 1 double bed and 1 single bed depending on which hotel is booked. 
 

What is English or Continental Breakfast? Continental- Cold breakfast including: cereals, fruit, bread (toast), juices, tea & coffee, cold meats
Full English - Cooked breakfast including: bacon, eggs, tomatoes, baked beans, toast, mushrooms, juices, tea & coffee.
nearly every hotel has slight variances on the above but this is a general guide.
 

What is your cancellation policy? You may cancel any reservation without penalty* up to 72 hours (3 days) prior to your arrival date. Please Use this form Otherwise the hotel is entitled to charge a 1 night penalty fee for cancellations within 72 hours (3 days) before arrival date. This is at the discretion of the hotel concerned, and is outside of OLDH control.  You must cancel hotel reservations directly with the hotel by telephone (and secondly with OLDH by telephone or email), if you are giving less than 72 hours notice. 
Note: Online Discounted Hotels cannot cancel your hotel reservation on your behalf given less than 72 hours notice.
*Note 2: terms and conditions for cancellation in Apartments booked on our site, are subject to differing cancellation policies given at the time of booking these terms are outside Online Discounted Hotels control.

I can't navigate your web site correctly the hyperlinks don't work Although Online Discounted Hotels Ltd do not use POPUP Advertisements on the site.  We occasionally do use new browser session windows especially on the External Links pages if a hyperlink appears not to work it may be you need to enable popups.   if you are using the Google or AOL toolbar click the popups button when logged into our site and this will allow our site navigation to work correctly.  Alternatively you can hold down the CTRL key when clicking an external hyperlink this will also allow the new session!
 

What is Rack Rate?  Rack rate is the full price rate for the room.  The  price the hotel would normally charge for the room with no discounts
